Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is an evidence based public education course. The 8-hour certification course is designed to educate adults on how to support youth who may be experiencing mental health challenges. In attempts to improve mental health literacy, this course will introduce participants to signs, symptoms and risk factors associated with typical mental health concerns in adolescents. Participants will learn how to aid youth and promote early intervention by utilizing a 5-step action plan. This class will be split into two days, each day lasting 4 hours.
