LUNA Fete

Making Spirits Bright

From the jingles to the jangles, we’ve been busy being merry, New Orleans.

From the jingles to the jangles, we’ve been busy being merry, New Orleans. The Krewe of Jingle parade had us full of holiday cheer while the Krewe of Krampus had us full of fear. And after such a merry and scary week, now it’s time to add “making spirits bright” to that mix.  LUNA Fête kicks off tomorrow and will absolutely do that with its stunning light displays. But if you’d rather fright to the bright, we have that covered, too.

Blinded By The Light – LUNA Fête

Lafayette Square is once again being transformed into a winter wonderland of colorful lights and spectacular projections. LUNA Fête is one of the most dazzling art festivals and shouldn’t be missed. Whether you’re going for the art or going for the ‘gram, you’ll want these picks for fully enjoying the fest. 📸

“Such A Lovely Place” – Catahoula Hotel

Anytime of year, you can find it here. It’s one of the most Instagram-friendly hotels and one you don’t need to be a tourist to enjoy. The Catahoula Hotel in the CBD is gorgeous and we took a peek inside to show you what’s in store when you come to see us tonight… 📸

“This is my house. I have to defend it!” – Home Alone screening

TONIGHT, we’re screening “Home Alone” on top of that “most Instagram-friendly hotel” in the Central Business District. We have one of the holiday classics from the 90s. We have popcorn. We also have blankets to keep you warm if the air is a bit crisp. 🎥

Oh, and WUT? – Brother’s Chicken

We learned this week that the Louis Armstrong International Airport is getting a Brother’s store — but no chicken. Excuse us? No chicken?? 🍗

Your Weekend Planner

Friday Night

  • LUNA Fête – The first night for this stunning show. The local artists, the lights and the music make this a perfect way to kick off a weekend.

Saturday

  • Running of the Santas – A national bar tour. Hundreds of Santas running in the streets. It’ll get your blood pumping for the day and your pre-gaming for the night can begin.

Saturday Night

  • Krampus: A Haunted Christmas – A haunted house in the middle of the holiday season? It’s odd and our curiosity dials are at 11. This is a unique holiday-themed event that we have to see to believe.

Sunday

  • Shots Fired! Saints vs Bucs – We think last week’s game is just a fluke. Since we think we could use an extra boost to that cheer, we’re holding our Shots Fired event at Finn McCool’s! Come have a drink with us as we cheer on the Saints. That first touchdown is gonna be FIRE(ball).
