Marcus Lemonis of CNBC’s ‘The Profit’ to speak at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week

NOEW has expanded to include venue across town, giving entrepreneurs a chance to stay in their own neighborhoods and join in the events.

New Orleans Entrepreneur Week is upon us, offering local startups and business owners the chance to learn and connect at different spots throughout the city.

What is New Orleans Entrepreneur Week?

Put on by the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and the Idea Village, NOEW hosts speakers, pitch competitions, workshops, networking events, and panel discussions that support innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.

NOEW has expanded to include venue across town, giving entrepreneurs a chance to stay in their own neighborhoods and join in the events.

The summit celebrates entrepreneurship and innovation, and since its inception, it’s featured 760 startups.

When is NOEW?

Unlike the usual conference, NOEW has events at different spots throughout the city, culminating with a two-day event at the Ace Hotel downtown. From Sunday until March 29, NOEW the summit offers business multiple places to network, share ideas and grow their ventures.

The first half of the week will take place in locations across the city and is called “NOEW In Your Neighborhood”. Venues include Loyola University New Orleans, Launch NOLA, NOLA Brewery, Fund 17, Couvant RestaurantNew Orleans Bioinnovation Center and more.

Thursday and Friday, attendees can visit the Ace Hotel for the NOEW Summit, which will feature educational sessions, keynote speakers, pitch competitions, and networking events.

Can’t attend the whole week? Here are some of the highlights:

– Junior League of New Orleans’ Woman Entrepreneur Fellowship Pitch Competition 
This year’s finalists include Cocktail & Sons, FAIT I NOLA, Girls Gone Buff, Southern Swings Nail Bar & Spa and Visionary Entertainment Media Group. One of them will receive a $7,500 grant, but the competition offers attendees the chance to see and get tips for effective pitches.

– The 3 P’s of Business – People, Process and Product
Marcus Lemonis, CEO of Good Sam Enterprises and Camping World Holdings, will speak about business success and how to bring new life to your business ventures and aspirations. You’ll probably recognize Lemonis from the tv show “The Profit” on CNBC.
