We beat Barry in the city for the most part and now it’s time to beat the brutal burning heat of the summer. The scorching heat makes is hard to find ways to stay cool. Perhaps the coolest thing we can think of is that WE ARE 1 YEAR OLD TODAY! OK, maybe that’s really hot. Take it either way. And all the things are happening. So much can change in one year. Beat the heat with art and AC
There’s plenty in this city that needs to be temperature-controlled to survive. Think art! Think artifacts! Think penguins! Our museums and other cultural institutions are already protecting New Orleans’ treasures from the elements. Maybe they can protect us, too? Get cool and cultured here.

Imagine enjoying these hot summer nights indulging in a pool party with delicious food and drinks and experiencing a spectacular theatre production. WaterWorld, the Musical is a hilarious, interactive, swimming pool-based play adapted from the 1995 post-apocalyptic cult favorite/flop movie “Waterworld.” Audience members are encourage to participate in the show by “seating” in the pool, though dry seating outside the pool is available.

After being in the Catahoula Hotel, Midnight Noodle is starting a dinner residency at Pax on North Claiborne Avenue. A six-course menu consists of old favorites like cumin seitan hand-pulled noodles and newer items like vegan chicken and chive XO dumplings.
