PICS: Parade cancellation didn’t stop Halloween in the French Quarter

People danced in the streets throughout the Marigny and Quarter.

‘We’re not worthy!’ cried Wayne and Garth as they bowed to the Jurassic battle between Tyrannous Rexes on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter on Halloween night, October 31, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana. A severed head of Ronald McDonald was served up along with some fingers licked good from the Colonel at KFC. Due to a more than five times increase for an NOPD parade permit, the price set by the City of New Orleans, Molly’s at the Market 24th Annual Monaghan Halloween parade was cancelled, so instead of saying ‘Boo Hoo’ the group from Molly’s led by Baby Shark sang ‘Doo doo doo doo doo’ and went on a bar crawl with stretched limousines. People danced in the streets during the annual Voodoo Festival on Dumaine Street and throughout the Marigny and French Quarter there were many colorful and eye-popping costumes.
