Bonci (pronounced Bahn-chi) Pizzeria is coming to New Orleans.
Get ready for pizza unlike any you may have ever had. Bonci, which is based in Rome and comes from renowned pizza artisan genius Gabriele Bonci, currently operates two U.S, restaurants, both in Chicago.
Bonci is known for using locally sourced fresh ingredients for toppings, which change daily, on specialty crafted pies of “focaccia-style crust cut with scissors.” The new pizzeria is moving into the Warehouse District’s upcoming mixed-used development, The Julia at Saint Charles, set to open in spring of 2019. It will join True Food Kitchen, a health food chain restaurant from Oprah, at the development. Opening: Spring 2019
Dirty South Vegan Supper & Staples at One Stone, 323 Verret St.
One Stone just added vegan dinners every Thursday to their offerings. The suppers will be BYOB and consist of Southern-style vegan, gluten-free dishes that are made from scratch and are designed to share with your squad. Halal Guys closes on Freret Street, which leaves the 301 St. Charles Ave. restaurant as the only remaining New Orleans location of the iconic New York City food cart chain,
Rouler, the hybrid coffee shop and bike repair shop, closed on Sunday, Sept. 23.
“..it is incredibly disappointing to have to bring this phase to an end, but I believe it will give us an opportunity to reset after a period and get back to the core of what has made this brand stand out in the marketplace; our performance apparel, our events and our curated experiences,” wrote Rouler owner Wes McWhorter in a Facebook post.
Chef D’z, known for its New Orleans comfort food and $2 breakfast plates, has closed on Broad Street, according to NOLA.com.
