The East is having its first holiday parade this weekend!
Christmas time is here! There’s lot to celebrate across the city, with boats lit up on Lake Pontchartrain to a holiday parade in New Orleans East.
Here are our weekend picks for Dec. 14-16:
Jerry Seinfeld at the Saenger Theatre
Date: Dec. 14, 7 p.m. or 9:30 p.m.

Description: New Orleans East is having its first holiday parade. New Orleans Councilmember Cyndi Nguyen’s office said the parade will feature Santa Claus, a variety of holiday characters, marching units and signature throws. Click here to get route information.
Lights on the Lake
Date: Dec. 15, 2 p.m.- 8 p.m.
Description: The Canal Lighthouse offers a prime spot for viewing the annual holiday boat parade on Lake Pontchartain at 5:30 p.m. There will also be music, food trucks, hot toddies, kids crafts and more. Click here for more information.
Big 9 Second Line
Date: Dec. 16, Noon
Description: Social Aid and Pleasure Club The Big Nine along with the Ninth Ward Steppers will be taking it to the streets of the 9th Ward for their annual second line. Click here for more information.
