Queen Anne and King Robustus XXXIII reign over MidSummer Mardi Gras XXXIII lead by the Krewe of Oak on Oak Street Saturday, August 24, 2019. The theme of this year’s parade is ‘Wild in the Wetlands.’ The Muff-A-Lottas dance group celebrated its 10th annual MidSummer parade dancing down the streets with members of the Krewe of Chewbacchus, the Organ Grinders Sexah Monkeys, Tap Dat, the Brazilian style carnival group Bloco Sereia, Bosom Buddies, Crescent City Fae, the Cougar Patrol, Bayou Babes, and an assortment of other costumed revelers and other krewes. The krewes paraded down Carrolton Ave to Palmer Park and back to Oak street to mark the halfway point, 184

It’s the first weekend in February and Chewbacchus is rolling! That means we’ve got less than a month until Mardi Gras day, and we’re getting into costumes, headdresses, glitter and ball gowns!

What: Make a Headband Headdress
When: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
