It’s the first weekend in February and Chewbacchus is rolling! That means we’ve got less than a month until Mardi Gras day, and we’re getting into costumes, headdresses, glitter and ball gowns!

What: Make a Headband Headdress

Get ready for carnival and stand out with a one of a kind headdress made by you! All supplies and materials you’ll need are included: a headband, feathers, trinkets, ribbons, styrofoam, silk flowers, glitter spray, hot glue and hot glue guns. Click here for more information.

In an effort to provide sustainable and cost-effective shopping for formal items and Mardi Gras costumes, Tulane is hosting a costume and formal clothing swap in the Pedersen Lobby of the LBC. Nerds, rejoice! It’s time to head to the Bywater for the Krewe of Chewbacchus, which celebrates everything nerdy and sci-fi related. For the celebration of the krewe’s tenth year, the theme is “The Roar of the Wookiee,” so expect to see LOTS of giant, furry Wookiee costumes during the parade. Click here to see the route.
