NOMA’s Teen Squad presents Teen Night: VIBRANT DIMENSIONS, a Friday night takeover inspired by the work of artists Alia Alia and Odili Donald Odita. Wear your boldest and brightest and enjoy free food, screen-printed T-shirts, art activities, youth performances, music by DJ Legatron Prime and more. Planned by teens, Teen Nights at NOMA are free and open to high school students.
First Fridays at the Jazz Market | New Orleans Jazz Market | 5 p.m. | Free
Every first Friday of the month, Cumulus Media & the New Orleans Regional Black Chamber of Commerce sponsor free music from New Orleans’ premier artist. This month Michael Watson and The Alchemy will be playing.

New Orleans Original Brass Fest | Louis Armstrong Park | Noon to 9 p.m. | $10
The New Orleans Original Brass Festival was founded to celebrate the culture and legacy of New Orleans music and its people. It is the first of many events to fund the Non-Profit Organization “Save Our Brass Culture Foundation” which was created to give opportunities for elder and retired local musicians a way to provide income for their families. Performers include Rebirth Brass Band, The Roots of Music, the Free Agents Brass Band, The Pinnettes and more.

It’s only THE cutest race in town! There will be four heats of wieners, with a Wiener Dog Race Finale to crown the 2020 Fair Grounds Race Course Wiener Dog Champion!

Soul Fest | Audubon Zoo | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. | Free with zoo admission
Thousands of visitors converge upon Audubon Zoo for one of New Orleans’ biggest celebrations of African American culture. The two-day family-oriented event features live musical performances by local jazz, rhythm & blues, and gospel artists on the Zoo’s stage. Sunday’s DJ will be Captain Charles, with performances by Jessica Harvey & The Difference, The Nayo Jones Experience, CASME’ and more.
Cajun Brunch | 11 a.m. | Tigermen Den | Food prices vary
Want to shake up your brunch routine? On the second Sunday of the month, Tigermen Den presents Cajun Brunch, complete with dancing lessons and live music.
