Looking for things to do virtually this weekend? Here are some of the local online happenings we’re looking forward to:


Zoom Pajama Party for a Cause! | 7 p.m. | Zoom | $20 suggested donation made here

Charitable organization, 2 Girls 1 Cause are hosting a fundraiser for Covenant House New Orleans, a nonprofit dedicated to providing shelter, programs and mental health services to homeless youth. This party will feature live performances from Big Sam’s Funky Nation and DJ El Camino. Find more information here, and a donation of any amount will get you the party invitation.

Famous local DJ, Mannie Fresh is hosts a popular DJ set called “Virus-Killaz” each Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. Check out his Facebook page for more information as the date gets closer.


Fitness Fusion Class | 9:15 a.m. | ClassPass | First class is free 

Like a gumbo pot, health and wellness company Footprints To Fitness created their master Fitness Fusion class to provide something for everyone… a true fusion of kickass workout with a whole lot of New Orleans culture. More than just a workout, it’s an experience! This class will be live streamed on Zoom. Register on their website to receive a custom link to join. The first class is free and registration is also available on ClassPass. 

Join The Journey for an all levels, high intensity combo class led by founder and media personality April Dupre, that combines yoga, pilates, strength training, weight training, cardio, and barre ALL IN ONE CLASS! 

Live Music from SideBar NOLA | 7 p.m. | Website | Donations accepted here

SideBar NOLA has live local music streaming for you seven nights a week (and oftentimes more than once per night). For example, Saturday night features Johnny Sansone celebrating “National Harmonica Day” at 7 p.m. followed by local legend, Helen Gillet taking the virtual stage at 9. Mannie Fresh is back for a special one-hour “Gospel Get Down” set at 4 p.m. He calls it “an hour of inspiration” and you’ll find more information on his Facebook page as Sunday gets closer.
