Last week after the devastating Saints loss a group of us needed to eat and drink our feelings. So we walked from the Superdome to Luke where we piled up the 75-cent oysters at happy hour, and chased them with French 75s. However, there was one item I was introduced to that I hadn’t had the pleasure of knowing before; the flammenkuchen is a Alsatian onion tarte, with fat chunks of bacon, dripping, Emmenthaler cheese. It didn’t completely strip me from the blues, but it made a good case about it.
